This degree program is designed for persons who hold initial licensure in early childhood education (grades PK-2) and are seeking professional licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The program is designed to meet the “appropriate master’s degree” requirement, which is part of the criteria for professional stage licensure as set forth in the most recent MA DESE licensure regulations. The focus of this concentration is on building teacher content knowledge of STEM education concepts and strategies to support learners in the classroom. Emphasis is on practical application of best practices for STEM education, highlighting hands-on learning and real-world connections.
