The Global Religious Studies program is designed to ensure that students completing the minor achieve the following learning outcomes:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the history, central texts, beliefs, practices and contemporary manifestations of several global religious and spiritual expressions.
- Illustrate the ability to apply an interdisciplinary, cross-cultural approach to the academic study of religious and spiritual expressions.
- Illustrate the ability to discern and explore the ways in which religion and spirituality are embedded in political, social and cultural expressions across time and place.
- Demonstrate the ability to locate, synthesize and effectively communicate about religion and spirituality in both oral and written expressions.
